Hollywild

Tonight we went to Hollywild!

In the past, we have gone on a week night and that is definitely the way to do it!  We got there just after they opened the doors, and still had to wait about 30 minutes!  It wasn't too bad, and it gave us time to finish our dinner before driving through the park!

They have gotten a lot of new lights set up and it really is a lot nicer in that aspect!  We did the deer field, of course, but there were so many people that were already there that the animals weren't hungry like they are when we go on a week night!  I even touched one of the yaks(? I think that's what it was anyway!) on the nose with a cracker and he wanted nothing to do with it!  We didn't even use half of our crackers in the deer field and saved them to use up at the barns!

We got one bottle for the kids to share to feed the goats, and were able to find only a couple of goats that weren't too full and would drink from it!  We used only half the bottle the entire time we were there!  The crackers we had saved were a huge hit with the bigger animals - I guess they don't get full as quickly as the little ones do!  AND, this is so funny!!!, the goats LOVED eating the bag that held the crackers!  So we fed it to them and had a ball watching them fight over it!!
