Mountain Play Lodge

This is a place I have been wanting to check out since I saw a friend post about it on Facebook back in the summer sometime!  It is in Arden, NC - about a 45 minute drive from our house.  We got a leisurely start to our morning, grabbed some coffee and munchkins from Dunkin Donuts for the ride and set off on our way!  OH, and listened to Christmas music on the radio...in November...and not even after Thanksgiving!!! 

I wasn't sure exactly what to expect when we arrived because the website doesn't give too much detail and has few pictures, but I was SO pleasantly surprised when we pulled up and even more impressed when we walked in!  This place was AWESOME!!!

There were indoor inflatables, castles, climb on toys, a "town" which included a police station, fire department, grocery store, barber shop and a doctors office, dress up clothes for each place, a couple of Thomas train tables and much much more!!!!!!  It was a kid's dream come true!  We were all just running from one thing to another with big grins on our faces!  S made friends with a few girls(shocking, ha!) and was completely entertained by the games they all came up with and I followed C around to make sure he stayed out of trouble - he only pushed one little girl one time in three hours which I was very proud of!:)

After three+ hours, I made the mean-mommy decision to head home!  There were tears when we left because they had had so much fun!  We will go back another time for sure!!  I highly recommend giving this place a try!  You will not be disappointed!:)
