S found out in February that she would be going up to the next level in ballet and that she would finally be getting her pointe shoes! She has been so, super excited!!
We went for what we thought was her first pair of shoes the first week of May but quickly were schooled in the world of dance shoes! The ones that the store fitted her for and thought were a good fit were not approved by her studio director.
SO disappointing!!
We went back to the store and found another pair that they thought would be good. Unfortunately, they did not have her size so they had to order them. Oh, the waiting!!
The shoes FINALLY came in after being on back order and then ultimately ordering from another store in Atlanta and having them shipped to our local store. Funny thing, we went to get them and try them on and they were too small!! S ended up getting a size larger that the store had in the first place that we could have saved a week and half of headache. But, oh well! She got the shoes, they were approved today by her director and teacher and she is beyond ready for a chance to get to use them - but not until Summer Intensive at the studio;)
