S entered the art competition at school and ended up winning an honorable mention for best use of mixed media! She was so excited! But what was even more fun to watch was that there were several of her friends that had entered in the same and in different categories. Those girls were cheering for each other with each that received an award, even if that meant that their friend had just beat them! Even the ones that did not get an award, hugged and cheered their friends that did! Such a special group that I hope does not change as they enter middle school next year!
