4th of July Weekend

We've enjoyed a long weekend with lots of time at the pool and lake!

We met a bunch of friends up at the pool last night and wouldn't you know it rained, rained and rained some more!  We'd already ordered the pizzas, so we had to wait it out until they were delivered!  And oh boy, they were the biggest pizzas I've ever seen in my entire life!  The kids would reach in for a piece and their entire heads would disappear! LOL!!

I got this shirt and had to make sure I got a picture in it:)

Today, we finally got the boat out for the season and drove up early to Lake Jocassee!  It was a good thing we got there when we did, because even at 8:45am there was already a line to get in - and the picnic/beach area was full and they were turning people away if they didn't have a boat!  The kids loved tubing and did it for a LONG time!  After we'd been there about 4 hours we noticed the sky getting dark and when we checked the radar noticed that we needed to get off the lake pretty quickly!  And it was a good thing we did, because as soon as the kids and I got in the truck, the bottom fell out of the sky!  M still had to get the boat on the trailer and secured, but I'm so very glad we started back to the put-in when we did... there were a bunch of people that got a lot of water dumped on them left out there though!  When we got back from the lake, we lazied around before getting a few odds and ends done, grilling out and introducing the kids to Pop-Its(C was a HUGE fan of these) and Smoke Balls!

Here comes the storm!

Proud of my Fourth of July dessert:)

S dressed up her dolls for the celebration!

Happy 4th of July!!
