Christmas Lights

Tonight we took a couple of hours, loaded up with cups of hot chocolate and drove around looking at different Christmas light displays.

We started the Greenville Griswold which has now received national acclaim and is much more crowded than when we have gone in the past, but it did not disappoint even if we did have to wait 30 minutes!  While we waiting, I found some You Tube clips from National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation since the kids have no clue who the Griswolds are.  Well, apparently M and I have only seen the edited versions that come on TV, because the clip we showed them was spatting out obscenities left and right before I could get it turned off!  We died laughing and the kids had no clue what just happened!!!  Here's a link if you are curious what we let our kids listen to!!!  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mk74WprmZxY

We then drove around to some streets and neighborhoods that we knew had some good lights.  Our next stop was The Lindsey's Christmas House for our first visit!  It was mine and M's favorite because we got to get out and check out all the decorations and even got to visit with Santa!  Our last place was the Turner Family Christmas which is so close to our house and is always fun to see because Santa is in the window - C missed this one because he fell asleep, HA!!

A very fun time out and about!
