Book Week

I told the kids we were going to be doing another book week this week and they were so excited(S particularly!!)!  And it does take a little more than a week since we have after school activities that tend to take some of our time!

This time we did Christmas books with accompanying activities!!

It was fun and put us in an overall holiday spirit!!

Christmas in the Barn by Margaret Wise Brown
 - We made angels using glitter glue and coffee filters!  It was so so so messy and I think that is why C actually enjoyed a craft for once:)  It took his THREE days to dry!  HA!!

The Night Before Christmas by Clement C. Moore
- We made "reindeer chow" and it was absolutely delicious and, again, very messy!!

The Polar Express by Chris Van Allsburg
- We watched the movie:)

The Carpenter's Gift by David Rubel
- We made a glittery, messy(AGAIN!!! It's the only way C enjoys crafts!) Christmas tree!

The Snowman by Raymond Briggs
- We made "snow" out of a paint/flour mixture - messy!:)  HA!  Maybe this book week's theme should have been messy Christmas!
