Biltmore Estate

I've been wanting to take S to the Biltmore Estate for a few years and it just hasn't worked out, but this year I was determined to make it happen!  Then M chimed in that he wanted to go too, so we made it a family affair and I'm so glad that we did!  ALL of us really had a great time and were all making comments like "next time..." so I think we will most definitely be doing it again in the near next couple of years!

The weather was in the 70s and beautiful which didn't hurt the whole experience:)  We had brunch reservations at Deerpark Restaurant but arrived a few minutes early and checked in on the horses first.  Brunch was an amazing buffet spread that left of us waddling out of there!

Little photo bomber!

Check out that waffle

We then went to the house for our scheduled tour and after checking out the surrounding grounds walked through such a beautiful home.  M and I had been before in college(but not together), but it was still amazing to see and take it all in!  The Christmas decorations are beautiful!!

After we finished our house tour(which was self-guided and we still took 1.5 hours!) we drove over the farm where the kids got a kick out of chasing the chickens around and playing checkers.  We walked over to the winery since a free wine tasting came with out tickets, but we were all pretty tired and had to still get dinner and drive home and when we saw the line, decided that buying a few bottles of wine and calling it a day was a better idea!

Can't wait until "next time..."!!
