Roper Mountain - Harry Potter

S and I went to Roper Mountain to their Harry Potter themed Second Saturday event!  She is getting on the older side and doesn't enjoy everything quite as much as she use to, but we both still had a great time!  We started at the top of the mountain where we attended an owl presentation with real owls and a magic show!  We caught a ride home on the golf cart to the bottom of the mountain where she checked out ALL the creepy, crawly animals and the touch tank before I forced her to dissect an owl pellet(which, once she did it, she thought it was amazing and was so glad that I'd made her do it!)!  We realized when we walked out for a late lunch when we finished that the food truck on site was loading up and leaving!  Noooo!!! At that point, we were both starving and decided to call it a day, get lunch and head home!

Magic show by Hagrid:)

She couldn't resist a stop in the butterfly garden...

And actually caught one, that I actually got a picture of
before it flew off!

Turned into a beautiful butterfly

She did a marine camp at RMSC a couple of summers ago,
and was using what she learned to teach this little girl how
to properly handle the sea creatures in the tough tank!  It's
a shame she has to be 14 to volunteer!

At this point, she still was not happy about dissecting the
owl pellet!  LOL!!

Picking out bones!
Starting to get into it at this point!

Lots and lots of bones!
