Camping at Davidson River

What a fun, fun weekend of camping at one of my favorite places, Davidson River!!!  We spent two nights with perfect weather and tubed a LOT!  Grandpa, Gigi, Uncle Bobby and Aunt Jennifer all met us there!  This was the first time the kids and M had been tubing, but they caught on fast.  It was COLD water and it has rained quite a bit this summer so far, so the water was at a great level!  We ate good camp food which S helped cook, let C poke at the fire non-stop, C celebrated his birthday and got a remote control car and his own hammock, and just enjoyed each others' company and being "unconnected" from the rest of the world:)  We did see a skunk(in Uncle Bobby and Aunt Jennifer's tent!!!!), a tick(again, in Uncle Bobby and Aunt Jennifer's tent!!!) and a copperhead(which is no longer alive!!!)!  What an exciting weekend - we have already started planning our trip for next year!!

C is learning his way around a fire - kinda scary!!

Decapitated copperhead!

His new hammock!

Aunt Jennifer brought her unicycle!

We all tried...

And all failed!!
