Yard Transformation

 What we started with:

March 1:

All the trees and shrubs in our yard were ripped out and hauled away as well as part of the fence in the backyard!

March 6:

This is when I realized it was going to be a larger project than I was led to believe!  Gutters were fixed and piped out away from the house.  Irrigation was, inadvertently, ripped out.  And my yard was full of holes and trenches by the end of the day!

March 10:

The trenches and holes were covered, irrigation repaired(mostly), and a new catch basin was installed by the driveway!

March 13:

Trees were planted along the fence line!

The boys broke the treads on the bobcat and had to
call in reinforcements to get it repaired!  It took
2.5 hours to get one tree in the ground!!

All trees, except one in the back right, were planted!

March 19:

Shrubs and the final tree for the backyard were delivered(still missing just a couple of shrubs that were not in stock) and planted.  The roof drains along the side and front of the house were dug up and replaced and an irrigation leak in the back was repaired.  Another load of dirt was delivered and added to the backyard around the trees.

March 20:

Most of the drip irrigation was installed(the remained was done a couple of days later as well as prettying-up the mulch beds) and mulch was put out in the front and side yard.

This shrub had to be moved a bit - they ran into
a bunch of buried debris and had a hard time getting
it where it needed to go when they planted it yesterday!

March 30:

Rocks were delivered for the wall in the backyard.

April 1 & 2:

Rocks were laid as a boulder wall.

April 3:

The backyard was mulched.

April 9:

Stripped the existing grass off the front and side yard.

April 13:

Prepped the ground for sod.

Apirl 15:

Installed sod.  We are mostly done now.  Missing some flowers and a few trees, but for the sake of this post, I'm going to call it good!
