Last year M and I checked out the Tryon Equestrian Center on a date night and it was just a random night with nothing much going on. Tonight we went to their Saturday Night Lights event which is geared toward families! The kids were able to ride horses(the one that S was on peed while she was on him which was great fun for us all!!), ride the carousel, and lots of other activities and it was all free! It also happened to be the Kentucky Derby, so we were able to sit in the horse arena and they had it playing on the big screen which we thought was pretty neat! The competition for the evening was a jumping event, so we watched several horses before our table for dinner was ready. We ate, let the kids ride the carousel one last time and then made our way home. We are all ready to go back another weekend!
