Park City Skiing

We went to Park City and skied for a few days!  M was in Las Vegas so the kids and I flew out and met him at the airport in Salt Lake City.  We arrived at the airport at 4am on Friday and the flight was fairly uneventful.  The only squirrelly thing about our trip was that our layover was in Miami - which geographically is really wonky!

We met up with M, got a ride to our condo, got our skis rented and then found a place to grab dinner.

The kids did ski school.  S was considered an adult for ski school, so she only had a half day option.  C had a full day each day!  M and I would spend the majority of the day on the slopes, him looking for blacks while I opted to stay on only blues!  We made it work most of the time to end up in the same place!

Both kids progressed in their skiing over the days! S made some older folk friends and ended up skiing with them for a bit after she got done with class. They then joined up with one of the other lady's family who just happened to be DUCK DYNASTY!  What!?!? She was so excited that although she was only going to ski for two days, she opted to ski the third day as well;)

C is naturally a good skier, so when he'd get out of ski school later in the afternoon, him and M would race to get as high up on the mountain as possible and ski blacks back down together!  I would go find S in the condo and the two of us would start getting showered and ready for dinner!

One of the nights we went into Park City because we were on the Canyons side of the mountain.  There were only a few restaurants on the Canyons side, however it was really just a lot easier and faster to spend the evenings where we were and we found some good food too!

Our third day of skiing we woke up to several inches of powder and it was still snowing!  I am not a great skiier and found it much harder to ski in powder.  Then, later in the afternoon, it started snowing really hard and made it very hard to see up on the slopes(especially for those of us who need glasses to see but can't wear them with ski goggles.. ugh!)!  I had proclaimed myself done for the day, but it didn't really matter because they ended up shutting down the lifts because of the weather anyway!

We are sore and happy!  It was a great trip and we loved our time in Utah!

We've already started to plan our trip for next year!
