Memorial Day Weekend 2010

It rained a lot this weekend!! We needed the rain, so I won't complain, but it didn't allow us to get out and enjoy the long weekend like we wanted to.

On Sunday we were able to relax and play some in the yard. I got all of the cobwebs and bugs off of the strollers that have been sitting in the garage for the last year or so - can you say nesting!?!? S loved spraying the water hose and helping me:)

On Monday I had scheduled for us to take a tour of a local farm where we would have been able to see the cows being milked and taken a trolley ride around the farm. We had built this up so much for S and every day for the last 2 weeks she has been asking to go see the cows! Well, of course it would rain a LOT on Monday and the tour would be cancelled!:( But, we couldn't not take her after promising that we would. So, we drove down to the farm regardless and went to the store they have on site and bought some organic chocolate milk and cheese made on the farm. We attempted to at least let her see the cows and got drenched in the process, but she seemed satisfied!! It was a fun trip even if it was really wet:)

Today M took S to a tractor show for the morning while my wonderful friend Amanda came over and we cooked some meals to put in the freezer for after this little guy gets here! S had so much fun with her daddy and came home covered in dirt and ice cream - doesn't get much better than that for a 2-year-old:)

Then, this evening we headed up to Landrum and had a yummy dinner at one of our favorite special places, The Hare and the Hound!

A good start to a Memorial Day Weekend!!

35 Weeks

We're getting so close! I keep telling this little guy that 37 weeks would be a perfect time to arrive. However, now that I am almost there, that kinda makes me nervous!! It will be interesting to see when he will decide to make his debut:)

Strawberries - Again:)

We went to pick strawberries again today, but this time M was able to come with us! The weather was cool and the strawberries are of course still so good:) OH, and extra added bonus, they were giving away free homemade strawberry ice cream in the parking lot!!

So Sad

Our wonderful friends are moving to Florida:( We are all going to miss them so much! S and I went by this afternoon to say "good-bye". It was very sad, but at least we get to look forward to seeing them in 2 months when they come back to visit!

Last Week of School

Last week was S's last week of "school"! Here she is with some friends who will be moving on up to 3K next fall - S will still be in the PDO program another year. We will miss all her friends that are graduating from PDO!!!

Liz and Ford's Wedding Festivities:)

M's cousin got married this weekend in Atlanta. The wedding was absolutely beautiful and every detail had been worked out perfectly! The weather cooperated and helped to make the event even better! The groom is a huge UGA fan and there was a surprise appearance by the Georgia mascot:) So much fun - although I'll admit it would have been a little more enjoyable if I hadn't been almost 8 months pregnant!

Atlanta Happenings

On Wednesday, S and I headed down to Atlanta to visit my parents for a few days. We went to the aquarium(see previous post), fed the ducks and had a photoshoot(HA!), went to the park, set up camp on the back deck and so much more! M joined us the last day since we had a wedding to go to while we were down there. We had such a fun time - S and I were both spoiled rotten while we were there!

S loved the aquarium and so did the rest of us! She was absolutely mesmerized:)

Family Pictures

This past weekend Jana Candler did some AMAZING pictures for us!! It was a bit windy out, but she was still able to work her magic and get some fabulous shots!:) If you ever need pics taken I highly, highly recommend her! She is awesome with kids:)
