Brad Paisley

M and I had a date night to see Brad Paisley at Heritage Park Ampitheater tonight!  We started with dinner at Voodoo Brewing in Fountain Inn.  We were so pleasantly surprised at how good it was!  We were, however, a bit late getting to the concert.  We walked up right as the first opening act was finishing.  I can't say we really missed anything because she was not very good!  The next artist to play was Walker Hayes!  He was fun!  And then came Brad Paisley!  We saw him in concert probably 16-17 years ago!  I really like him and we had a lot of fun - even if it was so.stinking.hot!!  Great night of great music!!

Lake Weekend

When the kids and I left Grandpa and Gigi's, we headed up to the lake!  We had dinner with the Pitts Friday night, the Mussmans came for the day yesterday and we all did a little surfing!  We leave for vacation next week so sadly it'll be 3-4 weeks before we make it back up to my favorite place!

Summer Trip to Atlanta

The kids and I slipped away to visit Grandpa and Gigi for a few days!  We were able to fit in a lot of family time in just a short time!  When we arrived, we met Gigi, Shannon, Jack, Bo and Jack's girlfriend for lunch!  It's always nice to have time to catch up with cousins!  Jack then promised to take C fishing the next morning and him and his girlfriend invited S to come out with them the next night! Jack got extra cousin bonus points this trip!  After we finished lunch, we went to Grandpa and Gigi's and hung out, fished and grilled out for dinner!  This morning, Jack was there EARLY to pick up C to go fishing on the Chattahoochee!  C's day was absolutely made!  When he got home, we went to play at Top Golf for a few hours!  Then it was time for Jack to come back and pick S up to hang out in Roswell with him and his friends.  While they were out, the rest of us went to Avalon for dinner at a place we'd been years ago and C had so much fun recreating a picture!  It was a short trip, but so many memories made and fun was had!

Palmetto Girls State Panel

The delegates chosen for Girls State from Wade Hampton High School and Eastside High School were asked to come to sit on a panel at a meeting of the post that sponsored them.  The girls gave insight and answered questions about their time at Palmetto Girls State this summer!  It was nice to hear all of them and how thankful they were to get to go and experience such a unique opportunity!

Sawyer's Bday

C was excited to see some of his school friends at Sawyer's party!  It's been a summer of swim so it was a good change of pace for him!

Swim Awards

We had one last event with swim team tonight!  The pizza and awards for C&C!  S was able to have one last coach responsibility and handed out the medals and ribbons and got some last photos with friends!  C had a birthday party so he did not attend!

Championships and Classics

Both kids made it to C&C this year!!

C made it to championships in backstroke and breaststroke.  S made it to championships in breaststroke and butterfly.  And, plot twist, one of the swimmers of the girls' 15-18 free relay was unable to be at classics, so S was the next fastest and was able to jump in a swim her leg!

It is always such a long, hot weekend, but we wouldn't have it any other way!

Both kids swam great and had a lot of fun!

C:
breaststroke - 43.87(23rd place)
backstroke - 37.15(14th place) PR!

S:
breaststroke - 43.32(15th place) PR!
butterfly - 35.74(20th place) PR!
free relay - 6th place - she definitely held her own and for whatever reason she swam the first leg!?!?

That's a wrap with some great swims!

I think this is the first year it has rained at C&C

C breaststroke lane 1

S breaststroke lane 4

C backstroke lane 5

S fly, look at that start!  Shes the one with the black
